Meet a Provider

Karelien Vermaak, Queensland

What do you like most about your job?

I love to help people feel better and improve their quality of life. It is a privilege to treat many injuries and conditions in this job, helping people continue working and enjoy their life.

What is the most common piece of advice you give to clients?

Your health is your wealth. You need to look after yourself and practice regular self care.

What would you say to someone who is unsure about whether Work Healthy Australia would help their business?

Absenteeism costs companies a lot of money. Work Healthy Australia helps to keep absenteeism down and keep your work force going. Employees appreciate that their employer looks after them and want them to be healthy and pain-free.

How do you stay healthy?

I stay healthy by cooking healthy nutritious meals at home, and moving my body every day either by going to the gym, running or walking. The other thing that keeps me healthy and happy is enjoying quality time with my family and friends.
