Meet the team

Headshot of Tina Asfar

Tina Asfar, Head of Programs, Research and Development

What is your role at Work Healthy Australia?

I’m the Head of Programs, Research, and Development. I coordinate the development of new systems, processes, and products, helping our departments move new ideas from ideation to implementation. At Work Healthy Australia, we are focused on continuous improvement and innovating our services to clients.

What has led you to your current role?

I joined Work Healthy Australia in 2018 because of our people-centred values. I have always enjoyed using my analytical and problem-solving skills and seeing the ā€œbig pictureā€. My finance, logistics and procurement background has contributed significantly to my current role. I love solving complex problems and bringing information together to help people.

How do you ensure that our programs remain effective and relevant in an ever-evolving workplace environment?

Adaptability and continuous improvement are crucial in occupational health and safety. We ensure our services remain relevant by working closely with our clients to understand their particular needs. Our goal is to create thriving workforces with healthy workers.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Outside of work, I’m a passionate Western Bulldogs fan, never missing a game. I also find joy in gardening, spending time with my dog, listening to podcasts, and swimming. Recently, I’ve taken up learning Spanish, which has been a delightful challenge.
