Say hi and ask questions! While I enjoy performing hands-on treatment, I have a particular interest in injury prevention and strategies to improve injury management in the workplace. If you have a question or concern or just want a second opinion on something, I would be delighted to help.
I think it depends on why someone is unsure about making an appointment. If you are experiencing aches and pains, you are more than welcome to come in for a check-up so we are able to identify what is going on – and this doesn’t have to involve hands-on treatment. If you aren’t sure about treatment, that is okay! While we will give you a range of treatment options, and our opinion of what we think may work best, your choices and preferences are always important – we will work together to find what works for you.
I try to get involved with projects such as writing exercise programs and creating resources for both my colleagues and myself – I have a real soft spot for research and academia. I am also completing further studies in healthcare at UQ, so I try to make the most of the beautiful campus by completing my work projects there.
I’ve definitely found that having a balanced lifestyle that I enjoy is the best way for me to maintain a good sense of wellbeing. Instead of forcing myself to go to the gym because I know exercise is good for me, I participate in activities that I enjoy: rock climbing, frisbee, hiking and roller skating.
