Meet a Provider

Published 12 April

Christie Roberts, New South Wales

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Educating people about their injury, empowering them and giving them the tools to manage their pain and overall health. I feel very fortunate to provide healthcare to people who have limited access to injury and pain management.

How can workplaces get the most out of you?

By getting me out on the floor! This allows me to better understand the production process and how workers perform their role. Understanding the physical demands of each task allows me to implement more effective treatment and rehabilitation strategies.

When you aren’t onsite, what are you doing?

When I’m not onsite you’ll find me either working on task analysis or developing rehab programs for patients. A lot of my clinical interest lies in rehabilitation and exercise prescription, so I also enjoy reading up on the latest research and injury management strategies.

How do you stay healthy?

Daily movement and getting outdoors. I have two very energetic dogs that love their daily beach walks and help keep me active. I also enjoy weight training at the gym, and have recently discovered meditation and breath work – which have been great for my mental health and helping me manage any daily stress.
