Elizabeth Le Ray

Meet a Provider

Elizabeth Le Ray, New South Wales

What do you like most about your job?

It is such a rewarding job. I love meeting new people and helping them recover as well as empowering them to take an active role in their health

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical workday usually starts with hot coffee,  a good podcast and a drive to the worksite. I then usually have time for a quick chat before getting set up in the treatment room. My days vary but are usually full of treatments, injury prevention and work hardening sessions as well as pre-employment screens.

What is the most common piece of advice you give to clients?

Usually something along the lines of reassurance – that they will recover and we will get them out of pain. I like to remind people to “look after themselves” or “be kind to themselves” since our wellbeing is such an important aspect of our recovery.

How do you stay healthy?

Right now, staying healthy is all about balance and setting up good habits. Sleep, a balanced diet and doing things I enjoy are all really important. I have an active lifestyle with my young children but I am working on incorporating more structured exercise for myself into my weekly routine.
