Type of role:
Full time, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours
Multiple opportunities in North Queensland, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra (and surrounds), Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia
About the role:
As an on-site practitioner, you’ll predominantly treat injured employees who work in manual roles, using a multimodal and evidence-based approach to care. You’ll also conduct functional assessments and movement-based manual handling training. Your role will provide autonomy and variety in the cases you treat, as well as the structure of your work.
Work Health Australia offers structured mentoring, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth to help you become the best clinician you can be. We are outcome-driven, with a focus on resolving patient problems quickly and effectively, while helping you progress as a professional and as a person.
What we look for:
The ideal candidate for this role is an outgoing problem solver who values life-long learning, enjoys developing and maintaining relationships, and is driven to deliver the best outcomes possible. We look for adaptable, practical team players who strive for excellence in everything they do. A background in sports injury management or occupational wellness is a plus.
Both local and international applicants are welcome. We may be able to sponsor candidates who satisfy the AHPRA guidelines for practice.
Onboarding and training:
During your initial training as an on-site practitioner, you will complete courses and readings of various insightful resources and learn several new treatment modalities, such as Functional Integrated Therapy, dry needling techniques for sports and pain management, instrument assisted techniques, sports taping, and Active Release Techniques (ART). You will be mentored one on one onsite to completely prepare you for the role. Work Healthy Australia also will provide ongoing internal and external training sessions to help keep your skills sharp.
Note that this position may involve interstate travel, attending team retreats, and obtaining additional postgraduate qualifications if needed.
Compensation and benefits:
- Attractive starting salary
- Treatment equipment
- Phone and laptop
- Generous yearly training allowance
