Pre-employment screens help you to hire the right person for the job. They can help your business identify any health-related factors that might limit a candidate’s ability to perform their new role safely and effectively. We can now carry pre-employment screens virtually, saving you time and money.
Virtual pre-employment screening (PES) appointments can be conducted at your workplace or at the candidate’s home, using a mobile device, tablet or computer. Appointments take approximately 30-minutes to complete. The process is very similar to a face-to-face PES, with the main difference being that the assessment is delivered via our virtual platform, Coviu.
Medical history
This is recorded via our online PES Candidate form and securely stored in our system where it is easily accessible during the candidate’s appointment.
Discuss and review health status
The initial part of the appointment will be spent reviewing the candidate’s medical history, including pre-existing health conditions and previous injuries.
Reporting
A summary of the relevant information and test results will be provided. If the job demands have been assessed and documented, the report will provide a recommendation for the candidate’s job placement.
A general recommendation and summary will be provided if the documented demands are not available at the time of assessment.
Range of movement, balance and strength
This is the main area of difference in virtual PES. A variety of activities, stretches and exercises will be performed by the candidate to assess their level of mobility, balance and strength. This is particularly important for labour-intensive roles.
