By supporting workers with a virtual alternative to hands-on treatment, you reduce the risk of injuries worsening or progressing to compensation claims.
Employers have a duty of care to monitor the health and wellbeing of their workers. Now, more than ever, it is important to address our workers with a consistent, reassuring message, particularly when it comes to managing workplace injuries and health concerns.
A virtual injury management consultation can be conducted at the workplace or at the patient’s home using a mobile device, tablet or computer. Appointments take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
The process is very similar to a face-to-face consultation, although of course direct physical therapy is not possible. Patients will be taken through a rehabilitation and self-care program to manage the injury.
This is recorded via our online form and securely stored in our system where it is easily accessible during the candidate’s appointment.
Discuss and review health status
The initial part of the appointment will be spent reviewing the candidate’s medical history, including pre-existing health conditions and previous injuries.
Examination and diagnosis
Our allied health professional will ask a series of questions and conduct a comprehensive visual examination to reach a diagnosis.
Rehabilitation and self-care
Patients will be given advice and reassurance, along with an effective rehabilitation plan, which will include a self-care program to manage the injury.
After each treatment, employers will receive a report outlining the findings from the consultation. Our provider will also touch base with the key contact to debrief.
As a WHA Onsite Healthcare Provider you can enjoy:
– A competitive salary
– Laptop, Phone & Work Vehicle
– A generous training allowance
– Access to a full time training manager to coach you in your professional development
We welcome applications from Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Osteopaths, unless otherwise specified in the job description.
